Lewis Lowe
Principal
Lewis has nearly 20 years of experience working in government, campaigns, and the private sector.
His specific experience and broad perspective have equipped L Squared to take an approach to strategic communications that integrates public affairs, policy-making, and issue expertise.
In 2024, Lewis founded L Squared Strategic Communications, a firm specializing in communications and general consulting, media relations, and speechwriting.
Before opening L Squared, Lewis spent over a decade at a full-service public affairs firm, where he served as the DC office communications lead — often the only comms guy in an office full of lobbyists.
His victories include having Alaska’s proposed Pebble Mine rejected by the Trump Administration, and the successful public roll out and growth of a multi-million-dollar organization and advocacy campaign for increased federal support for housing density and transit-oriented development.
Lewis cut his teeth in public affairs working on the campaigns of and on the Hill for southern Democrats, working in some of the toughest districts during challenging political environments. He has also served as a direct mail consultant.
Lewis graduated with honors from Tulane University in New Orleans with a degree in Political Science and History — though he considers the culture, cuisine, music, and mystery of the Big Easy an equally-important part of his education. He lives in DC’s Shaw neighborhood with his wife Jessica and two young children.

Non-profits and trade associations
Lewis has collaborated closely trade associations and non-profits and understands their unique challenges and opportunities. In fact, he was on the ground floor of the creation of two trade associations entering nascent fields.
Native American and Alaska Native interests
Lewis is no stranger to Indian Country, from tribes, to national Native organizations, and Alaska Native Corporations and associated entities. Lewis has strong relationships across Native-focused media and stakeholders.
